i got a moto q, but in the alltel store they did not have the cables to transfer my phonebook over to it (yeah this really sucks, and who would have thought). however i have the phonebook on a floppy and got the file on my desktop right now. it is a .dpb file, phonebook.dpb to be exact. so i have been trying for the past two days to get this file on my phone, does anyone have any suggestions out there? this is really a pain, and i don;t want to call alltel tech support because they will try to sell me all kinds of shit that i don't want and that pisses me off. 8/2/2007 9:48:40 PM |

chabnic, mpt does NOT work with windows mobile devices. they even have a list of compatiable phones on the mpt website.
even the dpb file came from my samsung u420. when alltel transfers your phonebook from one cell to the next they give you a print out and a floppy with the dbp file that contatins your phonebook as a back-up. they also can just make a back-up for you in fashion. i got my back-up when i got my u420, so the guy was like if i did not have any new numbers then i could use the back-up that i already had to get my phonebook on my q, obviously because it would not make any sense to make a duplicate back-up that was identical to what i already have.
