I don't understand why some PC3200 can cost more than PC6400. Can someone tell me why #1 costs more than #2?#1: Kingston HyperX DDR PC3200 $190: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=879444&CatId=1354#2: Kingston HyperX DDR2 PC6400 $120:http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2176265&CatId=2264I thought DDR2 was faster then DDR, and I'm pretty sure 800mhz is twice as fast as 400mhz. And it's not just TigerDirect, it's a lot of places. Anyone know?

you're right, ddr2 is* faster, and 800 is better than 400mhz.the price is crazy cause ddr1 is now on the way out...jack the price so anyone still needing it pays $texas. additionally, pc2700 costs basically the same as pc3200 (both ddr1) at some places, further backing my opinion.

will DDR2 run in DDR1 slots at DDR1 speed? or are they completely incompatible?

completely incompatible.
