I'm guessing you're talking about the "video_tl" folder DL. I would use Clone DVD 8/7/2007 1:28:23 PM |

Dvdshrink is the best program i've found for backing up dvds to single or dual layer disks. It'll even compress a dual layer dvd movie onto a single layer dvd (or just make the full backup.) 8/8/2007 1:58:46 PM |

dvdfab can rip and burn. theres no reason to use two programs.
problem with dvd shrink is it hasn't been updated in forever so it can't decrypt alot of hte new movies out there. thats why u need something thats updated often...like dvdfab (or dvd decrypter, but i don't know if decrypter actually burns discs.)8/8/2007 3:01:32 PM |

^yeah. dvd shrink was last updated July 25th, 2004. Dvd decrypter was updated March 21st 2005 and Dvdfab(freeware version) was last updated July 11, 2003. Now you can pay for a 2007 version but it's like 40-50$. So either dvd shrink or dvd decrypter, unless i missed a newer freeware version of Dvdfab. 8/8/2007 3:13:42 PM |

I like Magic DVD Ripper. 4gig+ dvd converted down to 700-800mb, then just store it on my external hard drive. Not much quality loss either. 8/8/2007 5:27:09 PM |
