i dont post in garage much and i tried searching for similar stuff, so sorry if its been done.

i'm having some major issues with my 89 Saab 900s, just wondering if anyone had suggestions of good place to take it, only other time i've had it worked on in Raleigh i took it to Soto's international auto place on hillsborough.

breakdown of the problem: pressing the gas pedal down, and its not giving the car constant gas, its almost as if there are hiccups of air or something in the gas line, its sort of like trying to start a car off in a high gear when you arent going fast enough, but it happens in all gears.

sounds like plug wires... find a real dark parking lot and pop the hood (at night) with the engine running and look closely, see if you see the magic lights...

I have only heard terrible things about West German Imports.

Swedish Imports on 15-501 in Durham is the place to go if you don't mind a 30 minute trip to drop it off and pick it up. They are a Saab/Volvo shop and they have some good techs.

i called west german, and they said they couldnt take a look at it til wed, Soto's said they could today, got into the car to take it there, and it wouldnt start. had to get it towed over there. i believe the distriubter cap was what he said main problem was

they did suggest a few things that should be done, but i opted for them to do a lot less and i would see how it ran and take it from there.
