Graphic Designer (Windows) for Ecommerce Company position #8
Description:
Position requires an individual to take a leadership role in assisting and developing advanced functionality for a web-based e-commerce marketplace platform. Design, creation and implementation of graphical and multimedia web content for an e-commerce site located on Yahoo Shopping, eGeneralMedical.com, AllMedStar.com, AAPAstore.com and other selling terminals. Grow our medical products business and assist the President / CEO thru strategic web based marketing position and developing a retail business locally.

Duties:
Graphic Designer for windows Microsoft XP operating system only - Production of Adobe Illustrator catalog application, Graphic Designer and PhotoShop software application use to develop a hard print as well as PDF downloadable catalogs; including but not limited to editing website as well as adding new sections / products, creating logos and other graphics, scanning in product pictures, making our site more visually appealing thru our web site. Here is an example of what needs to be produced.

Job Requirements:
Must see your portfolio
Typing: 60 WPM
Adobe Creative Suite Premium
Adobe Illustrator
Photoshop
Macromedia Dreamweaver, basic HTML
Microsoft FrontPage
Microsoft PowerPoint
Microsoft Word
FTP Applications

Medical industry knowledge preferred with typing skills >50 WPM. Candidate should have the ability and desire to quickly learn new languages and skills. Position will be focused on interface design and development, testing, and documentation; very little low-level development required. Works autonomously “self-starter” but is a team player and gets along with working peers regarding features, editing and database entry. Has an excellent verbal and written communication, grammar / telephone skills (customer service).

Other Duties:
Assist marketing specialist, which involves production of a seasonal e-mail newsletter, that is sent out to our customers and also coming up with ways to enhance the company image and make us more visible in the medical community. Adding / Editing new products and /or services with full title, item number, price, organized description and picture. Working with subcontractors and setting up and maintaining new e-commerce web site and large database uploads. Updating and maintaining the legal and copyright statements. Email notifications to customers regarding web hosting errors and securing issues. Answering the telephone as needed.

Salary:
Internship and Co-op programs available.

We are accepting internships and Co-op programs for employment at this time. Internships are for credit hours (without pay) or to receive real job training for future employment with our company. Co-op programs are associated with any school that requires a minimum job hours for credentialing.

Starting Salary:
All positions start at a base wage depending on your experience until quarterly evaluations occur based on performance and productivity.
