the thumbwheel on my Suncom 8700g blackberry is jammed--meaning that it's constantly trying to select/choose/highlight/bring up menu/etc. whatever is on the screen. i can't get it to "click out"---the wheel still turns but the actual click mechanism to choose something on screen is locked in.

anyone had this problem and/or an easy and affordable fix? note the emphasis on affordable.


before anyone asks: the 1-year warranty ended in july (go figure it breaks now) and my salesperson told me that insurance was a waste of $$ so i of course believed him and didnt get it---BIG MISTAKE.

i dont have $600 to spend on a new phone at full retail price. tiger direct (place with unlocked phones) only has the archaic blackberrys or the pearl--both of which i despise.

in summary--- i need to be able to fix my thumbwheel.
