In the words of the VP of programming, Fox "will not continue the Half Hour News Hour beyond its current 15 episode run."

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert can relax now, the threat has passed. 8/15/2007 1:40:10 PM |

i never watched it
but I'm guessing the gist is they presented real news...after all, that would be the true parody of their channel 8/15/2007 2:09:09 PM |

i stopped watching one night after it became apparent that the idea of that night's episode seemed to be white collar anchorpeople and writers ripping on blue collar people and their jobs - fuck them 8/15/2007 2:30:54 PM |

I saw it once at the gym and it was painfully unfunny and the bias was way too over the top. 8/15/2007 2:37:25 PM |

They set it up like SNL's Weekend Update. It was less fake news and more just a bunch of punchlines.

I saw some segments on YouTube. Their problem was they were trying too hard and it just made it not funny. You can't be a satire and trying to stick it to someone else at the same time. You have to take everyone, including yourself, not seriously for satire to work.8/15/2007 2:43:11 PM |

fox news we talked about it last year message_topic.aspx?topic=446574
i wasn't aware that it was still on.... i thought it got canceled pretty quickly. or actually, i seem to recall Republicans claiming a "victory" because it was extended for a couple months or something.... 8/15/2007 3:41:24 PM |

^ Yeah, I expect bias on any news network.
Foxnews just admits to it. 8/15/2007 4:26:52 PM |

i think 24 hour tv news is pretty much the devil no matter which station you're talking about. i hadn't watched cnn for a long time before last month and i watched lou dobbs a few times when i got home. my god. i think i hate that guy as much as o'reilly. 8/15/2007 4:28:28 PM |

i know CNN's not innocent, but every time I see fox news on in the gym, they have some bullshit story running...and not bullshit like ripping on dems or presenting some GOP slanted crap...but the purely alarmist crap like "proof that crayola burnt orange crayons turn kids into terrorists" 8/15/2007 5:44:51 PM |
