i read about this a month or two ago, after it happened. very disturbing.
i'm glad it's turned out well. i hope that kid who tortured the animal gets gangraped in prison.
and FTR ... it's a 42-pound Tortoise. not a turtle.

Regardless that the kid is handicapped, who tortures ANYONE'S animals and pets?!  Stuff like this makes me SO angry. The kid that stole the tortoise probably didn't know that it belonged to a handicapped kid and with someone like this, it probably would not make a difference. 8/19/2007 4:46:30 PM |

Call me crazy, but animal cruelty strikes me as one of those crimes where law enforcement in the form of roving death squads would provide an excellent deterrent.
