Can i take my box to someone elses house that dosn't have digital cable and plug my dvr in and have all my shows to watch or is it set up on each outlet somehow for digital cable?

I think it'll probably work, if they're not too far away from you.

I asked a TWC guy about this one time, and that's what he told me.

I don't know the technical term, but I guess it'll work if you're in the same End Service Exchange or something. You shouldn't be able to roam around nationally.

I don't think it'll work citywide...probably even the same zip is a stretch.

But you're talking about your DVR shows...why would that matter? I am sure you could watch your recorded shows without actual subscription active.

i used to take my rr modem and dvr box from asheboro to myrtle beach and the shit worked.. dunno if it was suppose to but yea, it'll probably work for you

You can plug it up to the power and watch all your shows but do not plug it into the cable. It will update itself and kill your box. You have to go to TW to have them fix it, tried it at my GF's.

Worked fine at the other house. ^Hope if works when I get back home as well. Don't really see why it wouldn't. Those boxes update themselves it seems whenever they are unplugged so the box I wouldn't think would be loaded differently depending on which house you were at but I could be wrong here. It seems that if it worked at her house then going back to my house wouldn't matter. I think it either works or it dosn't and in my case it seems to have worked fine.
