I'm getting into flintknapping and I need some practice so let me know if you have any glass scraps. Flat glass would be ideal but I'll take curved pieces if they're thick enough. Glass plates, old aquariums, bottles, jars, ect. would all be suitable.

Our old storm door just fell apart and I'm replacing it this weekend. If you come pick it up you can have the old glass. It was a full glass 80" x 36" door so the glass is probably somewhere around 76" x 32". I live in Cary close to Raleigh, just past the Crossroads exit. Let me know if you want it and I'll give you my address and phone # so we can set up a time for you to come get it.

What about the stain glass shop near the Tryon/Jones Franklin (I believe)...its in the shopping center with a scuba/diving store. I would think they would have scrap since they teach classes there.
