I wanted to take out a loan for an SRT-4 when I was 19. I told my dad it was a Neon... when he figured out it was faster and (most importantly) pretty expensive for a 19 year old (about 20k at the time) he refused to cosign for me. I ended up getting my old nonturbo Rx-7 and it all worked out. I am thankful to this day that my dad was a good parent and said 'no' to me.
