i lost my cingular/at&t cellphone a couple of days ago. called at&t and they said i could get another phone for free if i renewed my contract for two years more...i dont want to do that however.

how do i go about getting a new phone? even if i bought an unlocked phone from tww/ebay....wouldnt i need a new sim card for at&t? thanks.

like $20 or less.



just get any cingular phone off ebay. doesnt need to be "unlocked"

hell they gave me a free sim card when i told the guy at one of those stands in the mall that the tech support ppl at cingular told me i needed to get a new one. at worst theyll make you pay for it and it's like $20 at most. and, what ^ said about the phone would be correct.

Just get an iPhone. It comes with a free SIM card.

sim card will need to be registered/activated for you.



the sim card is the thing that identifies you as the owner of the phone (for billing and such)



so when you're done with a phone, take out the sim, put it into another phone, profit.

Also you should buy a Lexus because they have free valet parking at Southpoint for Lexus vehicles!

That's a pretty big incentive. One time I spent 30 minutes driving around to find a parking spot.
