so go ahead and get it out, alltel blows ass, I know this. but my mother has us signed up for another year and a half. I got the Q and absolutely hate this, so I'm hesitant to try another smart phone, but I'm not too much of a fan of any of the rest of their phone. I'm leaning towards the Wave by LG. Anyone else have any ideas/suggestions? 8/30/2007 11:42:48 AM |

well i made plenty of posts here about the Q, and it not-so-user friendly interface is something that i talked about. yeah, i will admit the interface is a bit silly, but once you get use to it, you will love it. the just got the blackberry 8830 world edition too. i have never played with a blackberry, so in terms of user friendliness i can't say. 8/30/2007 11:46:30 AM |

I've had the Q for about 6 months now and just have never been happy with it. I usually manage to have the phone freeze on me one or two times a day, and I've gone through tech support several times and have had the phone replaced, but it doesnt get better, so I'm done and over it. its time to move on. 8/30/2007 11:59:26 AM |

have you updated the windows mobile 5 software? thats the only thing that i could think that would be wrong with it. i have never had mine to freeze, and apparently it something wrong with your phone other that its just freezing up because it crap.
go here if you have not updated it

I tried the upgrading thing, and it says I have the most recent version. I dont have any programs loaded on there (other than what it comes with) and I'm tired of trying to deal with it. 8/30/2007 1:50:28 PM |

oh ok. sorry to hear. i bought mine used and it has not giving me any problems, the actual phone that is, at all. the interface is lacking features (like delete all in email inbox, which is fixed with a plugin), and it quite silly in other cases, like the alarm is primitive for this kind of device. but other than just getting used to the interface i have not had any freezing, or sluggishness problems whatsoever.

Sounds like a problem with the phone and not Alltel. I have Alltel and I like my service. 8/30/2007 3:32:31 PM |

The infamous Q...why yes. With about 150$ more you could have upgraded to a pocket pc HTC or palm treo. You live and you learn. 8/31/2007 8:33:57 PM |
