Ok, so a friend of mine seems to be really excited about a BenQ monitor... I took a look at their product page and was underwhelmed given their prices. It seemed like a bunch of buzzwords and technobabble, but their specs are comparable to any other nice display

Is there something special I'm missing about BenQ? It seems like there are a lot of BenQ fanboys out there on the interweb so I'm wondering whats up

I picked up a 19" benQ LCD years ago on a slickdeal for $150.


It served me extremely well for years, before i sold it. No dead pixels, no backlight problems.



If you can get one for cheap, go for it.

well, that's the thing - it looks like the BenQ is about double what a comparable model would cost

that monitor was reliable.




I don't know how much my experience weighs in on the modern product lines, but i was happy with it. I went with Acer on the next round.

I have a BenQ 20 inch wide screen.

I like it. Picked it up really cheap from newegg.

I went with a CrystalBright 22"W Acer.



It's sexy as all hell.

I went for the benq 22inch widescreen for the sole reason that it had a hdmi imput.
