I'll be in the middle of a game...and the controller will just disconnect and turn off. I put new batteries in it....didn't help. One of my friends has the same issue. Anyone else see this? 9/6/2007 10:06:42 AM |

Do you have the play-and-charge kit along with your wireless controller?
It looks like this:

yeah, I have a controller that does the same thing. The battery pack does not fit tightly in the slot so the connection breaks from time to time. I believe it is because the springs that push the batteries down are worn out or pushed down too far. When I use that control I usually try to hold it in an upright position so that gravity is doing the work of the springs...but it all comes down to crappy microsoft hardware. 9/6/2007 10:15:58 AM |

ugh, i just dont like getting capped in the head when playing GoW because of some MS defect. I do have one of the charging cords and battery packs...i'll give it a try.
and FUCK you M$ for putting out shitty hardware. Damn, atleast the Xbox1 didn't have so many issues and was completely hackable. 9/6/2007 11:07:14 AM |

the consoles have plenty of defects, the controller isn't a widespread issue. sounds like you just got unlucky or manhandled it. 9/6/2007 12:07:09 PM |

If your problem is the battery connection like mine I'm not sure plugging a cord into the bottom will help. Does that thing come with a different type of battery pack? I always just use the regular battery holders and just use recharagables that I put into a wall charger, but if that thing remedies the problem I might pick one up. 9/6/2007 12:18:14 PM |

3rd party rechargeable battery packs cost about as much as rechargeable AAs. I had a similar problem with the original AA battery holders, but not with the rechargeable battery packs. 9/6/2007 12:47:38 PM |
