I don't like the fish at fish pro's because I think they're overpriced, and most importantly, they don't look that healthy. 9/6/2007 10:32:47 PM |

You said you don't like Fish Pros, but in case you feel like going there, there's a buy one fish, get one fish free coupon in that Dollar Saver magazine thing they have around campus. It has a maximum value, though - not sure how much. 9/7/2007 8:02:23 PM |

I've had a few that died a day or so after bringing them home, but the staff there are really nice, and give you store credit or let you trade a dead one for another one if you bring it in with a water sample. I have no fish to offer, but I do recommend fish pros. 9/9/2007 6:30:23 PM |

Freshwater? If so, I have some fish that really need a new home:
Rafael Catfish, Md (also you can have his piece of driftwood) 3 healthy black neon tetras 3 glass catfish 1 glowlight tetra 1 cardinal tetra and a pair of blue neons 2 serpae and 2 black skirt tetras that need to be away from my peacock eel 1 harrassed red-eyed tetra
Algae eaters: 1 pleco, small 2 otto's 1 golden snail
Semi-aggressive (need to stay away from the others^): striped peacock eel (likes to eat snails....) buenos aires tetra (mean to the red-eyed tetra)
I really want my fish to have a good home. I'm moving on to saltwater tanks and can't have 2 separate tanks in my apartment. The Rafael is the oldest of the lot, and I raised him from a little baby. If you want them, they live peacefully enough now (except for the BA and PE who have been picking on the others lately)

^Actually, yeah
I've never done a SW tank before, but I know that I want a sump-pump fitering system using my 10-gal extra tank, I need lights and a protein skimmer, and I need the pumps to keep that water moving. Live rock and advice would be great. 9/10/2007 2:21:30 PM |
