It was announced last fall:
Quote : | " NC State, South Carolina to Meet in Football Courtesy: NC State Release: 10/18/2006 Send this article to a friend Print
NC State Director of Athletics Lee Fowler has confirmed that NC State and the University of South Carolina have reached an agreement with ESPN to play football in 2008 and 2009. The Wolfpack will travel to Columbia on Thursday, August 28, 2008 and the Gamecocks will visit Raleigh on Thursday, September 3, 2009.
The Wolfpack’s previously scheduled 2008 contest at Tennessee has tentatively been moved to an undetermined date in the 2013 season.
“We are excited to renew the rivalry between NC State and South Carolina,” said NC State Director of Athletics Lee Fowler. “Getting to play a home-and-home series with a quality opponent that is within driving distance for many of our fans is very important to us as well.”" |

The Big 12 as the number 2 conference??? Fucking please...seriously, after Oklahoma, they're absolute shit as well.
Seriously...
Pac-10 Big East SEC Big 12 ACC Big Televen
I know everyone will laugh at Big East over SEC, but face it - you just had a shit team in your conference beat Auburn (seriously...Miss St.?...seriously), who lost to an 11-year-old program from the Big East. Hell, auburn had a hell of a shot at being 0-3. Arkansas proved they're an also-ran as usual. Georgia is still some regional power that dreams of that national championship from so long ago. Tennessee has been exposed twice over. Really, other than LSU and and Florida, who ya got? Nobody, that's who. 9/18/2007 3:31:26 PM |

Texas? Are you fucking kidding me? have you watched a game of their this year? They're horrible and will be destroyed once they play a BCS team.
TA&M? Are you fucking kidding me? They beat Fresno State by 2 points in triple fucking overtime.
South Carolina - quality win over UGA in a game in which both teams looked incapable of doing anything.
Arkansas loses at home to a clearly inferior Alabama team ruining a hell of a day by their heisman hopeful. Seriously, if you can't ride 211 yards of offenseat home from McFadden to a win in the supposedly defense-based SEC, you're overrated.
Bama - ok, so they beat an Arkansas team with no defense and...Vandy...against whom they got a whopping 2 TD's and had to attempt 5 FG's because they couldn't find the end zone.
Kentucky - great, they beat UL, another team with no defense, all the while showing they have zero defense of their own.
Tennessee - BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA - get the fuck out. The only thing they've been good for is saying that the PAC-10 might not be that good since Cal's win was weakened with Florida's destruction of them last week.
I'm not saying the SEC doesn't have 2 of the best 5 teams in the country, but as far as depth, they don't have any after LSU and Florida.

so you admit one of the worst teams in the SEC beats one of the best teams in the Big East
yet you've got the Big East as a better conference?

WHAT DOES THE BIG LEAST HAVE?!?! The team that won the Big Least last year just lost to KENTUCKY! IN FOOTBALL!9/18/2007 5:09:43 PM |

I'm not saying Kentucky isn't a good team - they are a mid-level SEC team this year with the offense they have.
I never thought that UL was the best or 2nd best team in the Big East this year. WVU and Rutgers are the top two teams in their conference. I'm sure the SEC's balls have been blocking your view of other teams since you're so busy going down on them, so you probably haven't seen much. The #3 team in the SEC is who...South Carolina? Kentucky? Alabama?
My point is that I would much rather play the middle of the SEC this year than the middle of the Big East this year. The Big East has already shown it's middle can beat the SEC's top tier (USF over Auburn). What's the SEC's best victory this year? Va Tech? Puh-lease.
Like I said, I'm not saying that the SEC won't have a team in the National Championship and another BCS bowl game. But two teams do not make a conference. After LSU and Florida, the SEC has been an letdown compared to how hyped up the teams were at the beginning of the year.

they played in tuscaloosa. so the fact that they came back on an AWAY game, says something about the character of that team. i view arkansas and west virginia as about the same as they will both have ridiculously higher running stats than most other teams9/18/2007 6:34:04 PM |

still delusional i see
you're quick to point out that Kentucky is a middle of the pack SEC team this year, unlike most years...yet you dont realize that Auburn is in a down year...you still call them "the SEC's top tier"
i think its pretty clear to 99% of the people in this thread that the SEC is EASILY a better football conference than the Big East...if I didnt know better (which I dont) I'd say you are just trolling, cause nobody who has ever watched a single down of football would dare say the Big East is better than the SEC
btw the only conference I'd "go down on" is the ACC...thats my conference...I don't like the SEC...I just realize they're the best conference, which they are
Quote : | "I never thought that UL was the best or 2nd best team in the Big East this year" |
yeah i'm sure when they put up 73 points in week 1 you said to yourself "theres no way in hell this louisville team, which won the Big East last year with the same starting QB, is even the 2nd best team in this conference"
Quote : | "WVU and Rutgers are the top two teams in their conference" |
Who has Rutgers beaten? Nobody...who has WVU beaten? Nobody
When you brag that USF beat Auburn you're bragging about beating a shitty SEC team...more proof that the SEC pwns the shit out of the Big Least in football
By your logic, Michigan is a top tier Big Ten team this year
At least we both agree the Big Ten sucks ass
