For some reason, my mouse cursor remains frozen , even after I shut down my laptop numerous . What steps should I take to unfreeze my cursor?

mouse is probably fucked up, check connections first then try somebody else's mouse and see if it works

I'm using a laptop and and I don't have a mouse attached to my laptop. I'm using the mouse already installed on keyboard of my laptop

Either the connection to your touchpad is broken, or the touchpad itself is broken ... get an external mouse and plug it in.
