I know Lucky1 used to do this, but judging what he posted in his last detailing thread he's not looking for new customers.

I have a 02 Pathfinder, will need to be washed, waxed and have the interior detailed. How much would someone charge to come out to my house and take care of it? (east raleigh, just outside of the beltline). I might be able to drop it off at your place depending on where you're located. Whats the cost either way? Do you provide supplies or would I need to (I would have a shop-vac if you come to my place).

I also have some a few small paint scratches...it would be nice to have them taken care of if anyone does that type of work. I can buy whatever is needed in advance.

I detail cars by hand and have the supplies I need minus a shop vac since I didnt bring it from home. I could do wash/wax/interior for an SUV for $80 bucks. I know that might sound like a steep price, but I usually get close to 120 for that. That should last you a good 3-4 months. I dont have a high power buffer so I can't buff out scratches but I can conceal most of them

hahahaha....

^^don't use this guy

a) u don't need a "HIGH POWER BUFFER" to buff out scratches! lol... some heavy rubbing compound and fine buffing pad will serve you just fine on anything that is not concidered a fuckin Gouge! and then maybe even some medium rubbing compound after to make sure it smooths!

b) you can go to any "wholesale dealer" or damn near any private dealership and they will give u a full recon/get ready which would include Thermaxing your interior and seats, treating any leather and upholstry, window cleaning, scent, using Q-tips to get in all the tough spots that 99% of regular guys aren't going to, wheel cleaning, wash, wax, hand dry, tire wet, etc. etc..

At my dealership we charge $105 and use only top of the line products.

c) WTF is going to last 3-4 months??? are you assuring him that he won't drive through a mudpuddle or have a buddy dump cheetos on the floor?

moral of story- Find a privately owned car dealership that apears to have a nice inventory and ask their recon guy to do it for ya- Should be max $110 and you might get a $60 job if u don;t need all the extra stuff

i just bought a porter cable 7424 and a bunch of Adam's detailing products. Should be here tomorrow.

http://detailersdomain.com/

Phil @ Audizine.com is a professional detailer and has plenty of before/after pictures and tutorials for DIY detailing with these products. some of the results are mindblowing.

I gave up looking for someone who will put as much time and care into it as I would my own car so I just broke down and bought the stuff to do it. The 100 dollar detail jobs I've read about don't really do much to correct paint flaws. The 149 I spent on the orbital buffer will pay for itself after the first use. Then hopefully when I get good at it I can scoop a lil' green on the side.

http://autopia.org also has some good reads, but then again I doubt you want to spend 8 hours on your day off cleaning your car, hence the thread...just thought I'd give my 2c

i'm interested in finding someone to do 4 vehicles, all at the same place. i'm not interested in paying 100+ damn dollars each though.

two are cars and already pretty clean, and wouldn't be much effort at all. two are work trucks, and it shows. they're not terrible, but far from clean.

if someone is interested in doing all of them for a discounted rate, pm me...

haha, nah... i'm only including my f350 in that. nothing else i own is worth a 5 dollar gas station wash, much less a real detail. the other 3 would be my dad's car and truck and my mom's car.

BBR when you get your vehicles detailed post pics in the garage. I'm thinking about having the 05 GT detailed. Sometimes I feel so lazy.

I'd consider having my car detailed if someone has pics or references.
