changing rear rotors and pads.

rotor wont come off. tried banging with rubber mallet, it did nothing. there doesnt appear to be any rotor mounting bolts of any sort except two small threaded holes in between lug bolts. also one hole thats capped off with little rubber cap. if you take the cap off there are no allen key holes inside that would dismount the rotor.

if anyone worked on something similar let me know.

shouldnt be anything else holding them.. somebody else will chime in and say for sure but sounds like you need a real hammer.. since you're changing the rotors you don't have much to worry about, beat the shit out of them.

those two little holes between the studs ARE the holes you screw bolts in to pop them out.

i dont know the exact size, but they are 12mm bolts you screw in there and it will release itself.

and dont use a rubber mallet. get a hammer and start tapping between the studs around in a circular patter.

find a 12mm bolt from somewhere around the car/engine bay and use that to screw into the hole

exactly. of course a little soak of the old penetrating lube helps also.

yeah i just took the real hammer and just started slamming on it. they just popped out. apparently you can also put the rotor at 6 o'clock position and using a screwdriver rotate clockwise the little wheel inside the hub to free up brake shoe and with that release the rotor. thats the procedure for camrys. i didnt bother with that. NJ car...both rotors were completely rusty.
