I think I may just be more excited about this game than Halo... and I bought my 360 specifically for Halo. The Beta for COD was simply amazing.

My copy is waiting for me at Gamestop in Greensboro when I get off work. Our guys drove out and picked up the game today instead of waiting for the delivery guy to bring it tomorrow.

after i buy this game tonite from gamespot i am never shopping there again. i called one store they said they had a few copies and i asked could they hold one until i go there and the guy said that they don't do that. then went to another store and the only copy they had left that i could have bought was on hold, not reserved, for some guy that walked in after me and bought it in my face. i really started to act black in that store. then went to another store and they said that they were not selling them until 830 to make sure that they had enough for pre-orders. here is a big fuck you to gamestop and every employee, and i swear i will never ever shop there after tonite. and i know you may not care, but i hope gamestop continues to demoralize you and rape your soul for you to stand there like a bitch and play fucking childish games.

4^ basically...yeah...but it didn't hurt that it had the best release season coming up ever in gaming history (mass effect, GTA, Bioshock, COD4:modern, assasin's creed, and I'm a big fan of madden)

The Beta was extremely fun.. There is a definite learning curve though.

FYI: New players! You will get kinda upset especially if you purchase the game a few weeks later because the more you play multiplayer - not only do you get better at it of course but you get advanced weapon updgrades and Perks that make the game easier. I was pissed because I started the Beta Test for this game a few days late and these dudes were already good as shit at the game plus they had laser sights and shit that I could not have. Of course once you get them yourself it is awesome. There is also nothing like seeing an opponent run into a building for cover just to mow through the walls and take him out with deep wall penetrating bullets

^In the game I played last night online, I was Level 1 playing with lots of ~Level 5-10's and a Level 25 player. One of the guys said he had already seen someone on Level 44.

My team seemed to take out all but 2-3 guys on the first mission in the Story Mode, which is the complete opposite of what was happening in COD 2.

As for the Gamestop remark, sucks to be you, but my store is honest about things.

split screen is how you play with guests online, however they are not allowing split screen at this time because of lag issues and release an update soon enough to resolve this issue.

I've got the component cables hooked up to my 24" Dell monitor and the RCA cables hooked up to my eyetv USB dongle on my iMac. So while I'm playing on the dell i've also got it displayed on the iMac and using the eyetv software to capture it and then export it to iMovie. The reason why i'm playing it on two screens is because what I see on the mac if i'm recording is delayed by 2 seconds vs real-time on the dell. but if i'm not recording anything I can play without delay on the iMac.

i beat 20 seconds last night to get the under 20 second achievement...if you check leaderboard i saw some of your best times (the ones who are my friends on there).

don't ever zoom in.
run from room to room.
you should only use two flashbangs.
in the last room, take out the guy on the left first so you are moving towards the door.

i think mine was 19.5 or something.

i suck at multiplayer because i haven't played single player yet...i was hurting J_Hova's team pretty bad. i need to put halo 3 away for a bit and get used to this one and play until i have nicer upgrades.

That doesn't work, Last Stand always gives you the 9 mil.

Also, please, don't use Last Stand. It's seriously the worst perk in the entire game (yes worse than bomb squad). It's horribly useless and it hurts your team to have it. Try using a perk that keeps you alive better rather than one that could maybe if you're really lucky get you an extra kill every 10 deaths (very generous estimate here).

Last stand is ok if you die a lot, but I'd rather use my perks to have a stronger player when I'm still alive than have a 5 second window with a 2% chance to kill someone after they've already murked me.

what ranking do you have to get to unlock the different perks, like martyrdom for instance...i think i'm only at 4 or 8 or something. i've only played 4 or 5 games.
