I am trying to upgrade my laptop memory from 256 to 1gb.
The current memory is a 256 MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM card. I bought Kingston 512MB 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 333 (PC 2700) to upgrade it.
I was just wondering my laptop would support it. I have seen two different things. One site says it does support the PC 2700 and one site says it does not.
Can anyone help tell me if it would work with my laptop? http://www.superwarehouse.com/Toshiba_Satellite_A10-S129_2.4_GHz_Celeron_Laptop/PSA10U-0ZH6M7/ps/332039 11/2/2007 1:07:30 AM |

It should work.
Just don't mix-n-match PC2100 and PC2700 on the same motherboard. There are some mobos out there that have given me issues with backward/forward compatibility. But, since you've already purchased it, then you might as well put it in and find out.

no just the 512mb. you don't want to mix the PC2100 and PC2700
If I were you ram is so cheap I would buy another 512 stick off the same thing. Ram is so cheap and matching pairs of ram in a laptop are always awesome 11/2/2007 12:12:28 PM |
