Does anyone know if you can switch out the barrels on the rossi single shots? I would like to get a 243 heavy barrel. I was itching to buy a gun last night so I settled for the .223. Ive been wanting a single shot tack driver for a while but a .223 isnt a very good round for deer hunting.

Barrels would have to be factory fitted, NEF does this I believe, it's not cheap though.

I <3 black guns. and wood stocked shotguns....like my Winchester 1200 defender, barrel's short enough that it won't drag the ground when I carry it by the butt stock. anywho.

Maybe I should talk about this is TSB, but I'd rather not start a freaking flame war.

What do you guys think about the XM8 as a replacement for the m16? I always thought it was frustrating that we have one of the most advanced militaries on the planet but refuse to do away with the m16. I know it's stupidly better than it was in vietnam, but the XM8 looks pretty damn impressive as a replacement. Maybe I've just got a soft spot for H&K though.

I was pretty sure that the XM8 program was canceled. I don't see why as I always thought that direct gas impingement was a bad choice for a field rifle.

^yeah it was cancelled...i thought it was cool caus there were so many interchangeable parts...seemed to have a lot of diverse field uses...but yeah they scrapped it a couple years ago iirc
