I had him for the majors section a few years ago. He sucked pretty bad but added 10 points to everyones final grade. 11/8/2007 11:32:15 PM |

Sandberg, and take her for 223 also. You'll know your organic chem cold if you take her for both. 11/9/2007 7:36:40 AM |

I had Novak for 221 and 223, and in 223 some of my friends joined me that had Sandberg for 221 and they had no clue what was going on. Sandberg is not a good teacher if you want to know your organic chem cold. 11/9/2007 6:52:42 PM |

Never took Novak, have only heard bad things about him from friends.
But what I can say is that I've had Canelas for 221 and Dieters for 223 and they were great, made things easy to follow and tests weren't too difficult. 11/9/2007 8:49:29 PM |

exactly. i believe sandberg dumbs it down so much that you can't actually grasp what is going on, just was the product may be. novak explains why it is happening, and it helps alot. Plus, will any professor besides novak drink wine during the final study session? i dont think so11/9/2007 10:39:56 PM |

Who the hell cares about a grade distribution. Anyone can curve exams. Sandberg didn't curve a single exam and I scored high, high A's on every one of them and they were HARD. Being a former student of Sandberg's I can tell you that I know my organic chemistry "Cold" - Those of you judging her teaching otherwise should try taking her course before making these claims. And as for "dumbing it down" thats not accurate... she used real life analogies and her methods work. Thats why shes one of the top organic professors in the United States and is invited to countless seminars to present her methods. 11/10/2007 4:38:54 PM |
