i believe i have a problem with either my brakes or my wheel barrings...makes some strange low pitched grinding noise when i'm making slow stops...a lot of time its when i'm parking or in the drive through
i was told if someone in the garage jacked up my car they could figure it out pretty easily
let me know...the next time i will be available is monday after about 3pm til whenever or tuesday from 12pm-5pm...i was told that if i offered a case of beer that may help 11/9/2007 11:32:14 PM |

No fucking doubt. I can't believe that Honda of all manufacturers would have done that.
I actually think it was a ploy to get all service people to resurface rotors on the car, since that is Honda's officially documented method of rotor resurfacing. 11/10/2007 12:28:51 PM |

^ it's b.c they are the same car mechanically.
same car, similar problems.
i had a wheel bearing (1) go bad on mine, but it was from outside influences. easy to change. if you ran into or over something bad, that would cause it.
have you taken off a wheel just to check things out?
it's a good time to check pad wear, clean and lube the caliper slides, and flush the brake fluid.
keeps the bolts from seizing.
hell, rotate the wheel and check for play.

well, I ran over a 6"x10" concrete block in the middle of I40 a few months back and bent my rear rim/busted my tire. I got a new rim, but now I need to replace that wheel bearing as it has a vibration/hum to it now.
But the scraping brake noise is definitely coming from the front and was happening before I hit the concrete block. 11/11/2007 2:39:13 PM |

I told you man...there's more tread on the right front than all the rest...I was just trying to even 'em all out a little bit. 11/11/2007 5:31:36 PM |

not likely, unless they are 5" high and square/you are traveling at 40+mph.
your car is extremely durable. i've got an accord that took years of abuse at the hands of a girl and it keeps on truckin, with regular fluid changes.
