i did it as a suprise. she loves musicals. ive heard good stuff about rent.

we went, i fell asleep after intermission. she loved it. i loved the nap i took.

i went to get drinks, i was so close to buying 2 beers instead of one that i chugged in a few seconds.

but it felt great seeing her real happy.

I saw Rent last night, but someone informed me it was "Understudy Sunday", and only one actor was part of the main cast. Some of the performances were a little lacking.

Do not pass out if you're going to get drunk and go to this just to make your girlfriend happy. What you want to do is make an embarrassing scene by any means necessary. It will cause a few tumultuous days, but if your relationship can't outlast a few incidents then it wasn't meant to be anyway. After you do this two or three times she'll never even think of asking you to go to something like this and you're off the hook for good. Let's face it...You wouldn't want her to go to a Ultimate Fighting match if she's the type who cringes at the thought of watching one dude beat the crap out of another; so why should she expect you to suffer through Rent?
