do they want sex

or do they think you're extraordinary ugly?

(I.E. she looks at you before first, then there's a weird blank stare before you break off contact.)

or is it something else, that I'm missing?

It means we're either spacing out or you have a huge zit between your eyes

You never stare at someone you really like...quick glances and hope they don't notice

ok i have a question

say you got your head up high and you are looking eye level

and you are on dan allen where its flat from like sullivan dr to where the train tracks are.....so i mean you can see this chick coming from like 50 feet

and you keep your eyes level, and she keeps her eyes level...and you and her are like the only thing walking or worth looking at other than the ground

sometimes i do that and i mean when you walk by someone its hard NOT to look them in the face

well when they look and you look, who should look away first? everytime i do it i always end up being the one to look away first....i dont want to just keep looking at her but she justs keeps staring at me so i finally look away

I don't mind having those impromptu staring contest with people as long you're moving

its different if youre just sitting there tho

I don't really like people staring at me, so I always try to sit in the back of my classes

it happens to me all the time...i mean i'll be walking down dan allen toward biltmore or something with my headphones on and i'll see this girl coming up and i'll think to myself, "i'm not going to look away first" and if we lock eyes for a second i'm always the first to look away

[Edited on November 15, 2007 at 11:55 AM. Reason : ^me too haha....back of the class is closet to the door sometimes]

[Edited on November 15, 2007 at 11:55 AM. Reason : and i have a horrible smile so i dont normally smile]

\/ my bad...it just bugs me cause i dont know how to handle these situations or know what they mean

I make a funny face when someone stares at me for too long...I either make a bitter beer face or make the face I'd make if I were straining to force out a reluctant shit

this exact thing happened today in my class. Except it wasnt just a normal look around. SHe turned > 90 degrees to look at me. I looked at her, and then buckled under pressure and looked away.

If I see someone I know and am staring, I'll stick my tongue out at them.

I don't make eye contact with people I don't know. It's a by-product of living in Philly.

If you lock eyes for 2.5+ seconds then she is probably interested at some level. Especially if you look away, but then look back and catch her eye again. Anything less than 2 seconds or so doesn't really have a meaning as far as I can tell.

The worst is when you're driving and at a red light and someone in shotgun seat in the car to your left is staring at you. You can't move and even if you look straight ahead you can still see them out of the corner of your eye. Sometimes at those loooooooong red lights it can get pretty uncomfortable.

I pretty much have a "go-to" move for everytime an uncomfortable situation arises

This is pretty much true.

A guy came up to me the other night while I was waiting in line to check out and asked me to have drinks with him. Really intrigued me that he read our eye contact and actually acted on it.
