I searched and found the other topics but they were a year old.... does anyone who has him this semester know if he's moved back our 3rd exam? Or is it it's original date? I've been to class but haven't heard anything. I didn't know if he said anything about it while I wasn't paying attention. 11/19/2007 12:10:12 AM |

did you check his website? Otherwise, try emailing him or one of his T.A.s 11/19/2007 12:11:38 PM |

i'm guessing similar to all the 300 level classes(i took 330, 340, 350 and 360)...not too hard if you study and are not a slacker] 11/20/2007 1:30:46 PM |

The class is not too bad. The teacher is great he gives really good advice on retirement plans, etc. The only problem I had was that there was no attendance policy since it's in Nelson 3400 so I had a hard time motivating myself to study. If you study the book and notes and practice exams, though, you will be fine. 11/20/2007 2:10:22 PM |

I never liked fianace so it didnt mater who tought it(also hated accounting). Audited it the first time with him then took it for a grade and made a C.....I was thrilled. Now I am a Loan Specialist
He uses the same old same old same old examples semester after semester, so it did help to audit it first!

Yeah, Dr. Sloan is a good teacher but I just don't like the fact that there are only 25 questions on the test. If you miss one, you automatically miss 4 points. Plus, there's no extra credit for us to raise our grades. He drops the lowest test score though. The class is not fun at all! I'm glad I'm not a finance major. 12/4/2007 4:19:18 PM |

if he thinks you are trying you will get the C, well, unless you fail everything and then he doesnt have much of a choice....he curves some, but it is based on some formula and it isnt all that many pts. 12/6/2007 8:33:13 PM |
