Are there places that will replace the hinges on a lap top. Mine were really lose for a while, then one of them went out, and now the other one just went out and my computer screen won't stay up...
I'm not in Raleigh, but I've been looking around and I can't really find a type of business that will do physical repairs on a computer 11/19/2007 7:51:07 PM |

buy them online. take apart your laptop. install new hinges. it is not hard if you have any experience repairing things. 11/19/2007 8:22:44 PM |

It's an HP ze2000....I found some hinges on ebay. But I wouldn't feel comfortable fixing it myself, even though I'm good at figuring that stuff out, I'd still be afraid I screwed it up more.
So for now I'm proping the screen up, and then tomorrow I'm getting on the phone and calling all the computer repair stores around here.
I called HP and the guy was basically like with the amount it'd cost to send it to them and get it fixed and send it back I might as well buy a new computer, so he told me to call around and find something cheaper. 11/19/2007 10:04:35 PM |

^ If you can operate a screwdriver, you can replace laptop hinges. 11/20/2007 12:53:18 AM |
