we're on nights 2 weeks, then days 2 weeks...we work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 3 days...which isn't bad at all...esp considering we have a 3 day weekend every 2 weeks...

but i've never worked nights so...here goes

I have to get up at 7 am for class

go to class from 8am to 12pm

come home and twiddle my thumbs for a few hours

then go to work from 6pm to 11pm

I don't mind working in the evening, but a seven-to-seven shift sounds horrible. I've only done anything like that once or twice.

Much less work
Much less management oversight
I can still do things during the day

That is true, I enjoyed the fact that there was less management hovering over me and fewer interruptions. But just knowing that it was 4am an I still had 3.5 hours to go...

When I'm in most any building (most the night) there is no difference between day and night, rain, sleet, hail, hurricane, anything.
