haha I got one of those $1 DVDs at Target the other day while doing a bit of Christmas shopping and it was a Sonny Chiba flick and 2 episodes of this show called The Master (aka The Master Ninja) which apparently ran 13 episodes before being cancelled in the early 1980s...The Master was played by Lee Van Cleef who you might remember from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, among other movies...well the show is basically a really bad show but because of that its pretty hilarious...plot essentially goes like this:
The Master (the only occidental ninja in history) and his pupil Max Keller go to some small town...some type of corrupt corporation or group of people has sinister plans against the hardworking folks of the town...The Master and Max Keller proceed to kick ass ninja style and have bar fights while often using throwing stars and smoke bombs and tossing people through windows in order to save the town...they also get laid by whatever chicks happen to be in the episode...this "B-Movie series" is a classic and should be owned whenever possible
