walking down franklin street saturday night........this guy was standing outside of i heart ny pizza yelling asshead at me when i crossed the street. (my group was on the sidewalk) i replied with a laughing fuck you, in no way sounding like i wanted to start a fight.

no less than 3 seconds later 15 guys were chasing me down the street, my shoes fell off, they werent laced tight, and they caught me. i was kicked repeatedly mostly in the face until my friend got there and punched one of them. they all ran away but i was left completely unconscious. i regained consciousness at the emergency room. i thought about not making this thread, but i think its necessary to forewarn anybody walking near i heart new york pizza on franklin. ive heard since of other unprovoked attacks at the same area with the same type situations. the police didnt do shit.


my knee does not twist, 4 of my lower teeth are severely chipped and i have lumps and bruises on my entire body, especially my ribs. im glad no knives/guns were used but its definitely painful and shitty.

a cop showed up and asked "what did they look like" as 2 of them were still running down the street, and my roommate yelled "THEYRE RUNNING DOWN THE GOD DAMNED STREET RIGHT NOW GO FUCKING GET THEM" but nobody was caught. the police said that since they saw me separated they thought i was alone, and once they realized i was with a group they all ran.


luckily an ambulance was right across the street, but they didnt give me help for like 10 minutes because they were afraid it wasnt safe yet.

yeah, one of my roomate teaches, and a guy he teaches with said he was walking down franklin at the same spot and he got jumped as well, and he didnt even say anything to the guys.

yea thanks man, the weird thing was, the cops were fairly close by, but there werent many people at all out considering alot of people are studying. other than my roomates and the EMTs there were no other witnesses

Someone who works on Franklin St. was telling me about one of the local characters (read: probably a bum) who got jumped by a bunch of kids earlier this year as part of what the police assume was a gang initiation. They fucked him up pretty badly.

Franklin St. has really gone to shit. The homeless shelter draws tons of crackheads and mentally ill folks. Crime is way up from what I've heard (although it would be nice to see numbers) and the businesses are suffering because people don't want to go there to shop anymore. It's on a downward spiral IMO.

Karma is not real. These same fine, upstanding individuals will soon or already have impregnated some young women who will soon be on welfare, leeching your hard earned money.
