Today's Technician rated the football team. Most recieved C's / D's. I thought this was a little harsh, and not very productive for moral. Thoughts / comments?

i'm sure tom o'brien is out trying to find a bridge to throm himself off of b/c the fball team got shitty ratings from a student newspaper that not even all the students read

And really, what about the ratings was untrue?

This team was 1-5, and it was pretty damn lucky to win three of its next four. I'll give you ECU. But we still made that one a game for a little bit. Virginia, Miami and UNC sooooo easily could have gone the other way it's not even funny.

I mean, did this team really deserve better than Cs and Ds?

The thing that a lot of people seem to forget is that C is average. Just by the record this team was below average, not to mention the product we saw on the field. Thecycle23 is right about how close we were to losing three of the games that we won late in the year.

Honestly, I agree with the majority of the ratings that the Technician issued, and wonder when it became the Tech's responsibility to boost the morale of the football team.

I'd give our team a nice big D. To me 6 or 7 wins is worthy of a C+.

Though given that it was his first year coaching I'll change my grade to a D+
