i've noticed that lots of people get suspended from tww on days that nc state university loses sporting events.. more so than on days when ncsu loses. for silly stuff, for legit questions, even when the moderator just THINKS you are picking on him i'm wondering if anyone can back this up with fact... especially from moderators in sports talk.

wasnt talking to the peanut gallery, and especially wasnt asking the SITE MODERATORS to join the peanut gallery (once again, nael, take note).

i'm wondering if the site owner can take a look at the number of threads moved from sports talk and the number of people suspended from the site on a daily basis, and overlap that chart with a calendar of the days that ncsu loses sporting events, especially games like ecu that people say they "shouldn't"

i've laid down a decent amount of money over the years that has gone into the the operation of this sie., and while that doesnt give me the right to say and do what i want, i think it doesnt make my request here outrageous.. cause, you know, if everyone contributed like I did, then there wouldnt be a problem with ADS. i think nael should also pay more attention to what the mods are doing to give themselves boners. of course they don't want to change the power balance, when they have the right to remove people on a whim while they're drunk and pissed about a stupid basketball game.

one more feedback request, it would be great to have tww mail forwarded to your normal email when suspended. i dont care too much about not being able to post LOOLOLOL in a thread for a few days, but it does suck to not get email when youve paid time and time again for email... only to have some mod (who has a 20 page thread asking for his removal) write you a shitty email and delete you on a whim cause his team lost.

that is a liability.

Because of this "accidental" suspension (as I have come to understand it) we couldn't get directions to jacklolz house to take him some firewood. im just disappointed in tww. i try to contribute to the tww economy by buying my firewood off here, and i get suspended cause ncsu loses a basketball game and i cant get my wood

that just sucks. especially for someone like me who has been sent email by the admins (new and old) thanking me for carrying the site as long as i have.

i dont think its productive to sit here and fight trolls, so i'll leave this thread and say that i think the current mods should be investigated, and current suspensions should be investigated. i also propose that there be a panel of mods who vote on suspensions (that last longer than a night) to avoid power hungry mods doing what they want with no real reason

i think it is bullshit that synapse would suspend solinari/hemogoblin after I called him out for some legitimate shit in tech talk.

the power structure here is ok for the site - it will thrive, but its pathetic compared to the way it once was. The way it was when this site gained its members and became popular.

It used to be an oasis in the community of homogenous message boards across the internet. Now its just the same as every other board, with power tripping mods and users who suck their dicks all day

I'm not saying we don't need moderation - we do, and shit got really bad back when nobody was moderating anything. But what made it nice in the early days is that moderators took a fairly evenhanded approach without regards to their personal feelings.

now we're just left with some weak shit like all the other message boards out there.
