i noticed that like 7 or 8 online orders from companies not in NC charged me sales tax. whats going on here? They used to only charge sales tax if they were or had a location in NC... right? or am i crazy?  12/13/2007 1:47:06 PM

which companies? because my understanding is no, they're not supposed to charge sales tax unless they have locations in the state (but i think that can apply to warehouses, retail locations, and offices) 12/13/2007 1:52:42 PM |

yea if they have any kind of presence in the state, they will charge tax.
