I am trying to disable Norton Internet Security and having problems. The only program I have installed on my computer that is associated with Norton is Symantec Antivirus (The one that the university gives us for free). I somehow have Norton Internet Security as a firewall too, although I never installed it. Unless it installed with Symantec Antivirus I'm not sure how it got on there. Anyway, I'm trying to disable my firewall so I can connect something to my PC. I have disabled my Windows Firewall via Network Connections/Properties/etc. but my Windows Security Center still reports Norton Internet Security as running. I've tried googling and everything says "Open up Norton Internet Security" and disable it from there. I don't physically have an application for it though. I've scoured my computer and I can't find it installed anywhere, even though Security Center claims it is running. Anyone have any ideas? 1/6/2008 5:19:40 PM |
