They don't have it because you can probably find most of the furniture you'd need (basic stuff) for under $40 on craigslist with a little snooping and quick calls.

It's not going to be the cleanest, newest, best, or most beautiful furniture, but it'll damn well do.

Plus you can pocket the savings by selling the stuff later. <_<

craigslist has some, although most come with roommates.

Also, if you find a furnished apartment you'll still probably be renting the furniture.

Furnished apts are more expensive.

Buy some cheap stuff on craigslist and sell it before you move.

although the complex seemed to be getting a little "rougher" when i left last spring, University Village has furnished apartments

You can find a lot of them if you look for the type of apartment that a business would rent for prospective or new employees. A lot of times a company will bring someone down and put them up in a furnished apt. for a few months while they house hunt. You're probably better off looking in the RTP area than in Raleigh proper.
