I recently transferred my music from my iPod to iTunes but apparently there are still 300 or so songs missing. Is there a way I can pinpoint it down so I don't have to do a total wipe of my music and just figure out which 300 are different? 1/7/2008 3:06:08 PM |

yeah, seems like there should be an easy way to remove invalid entries.

and you're trying to avoid deleting all the music from iTunes and starting again? Why? it doesn't take much time at all to do the transfer, so you can just try it again and see if it works fully this time.
i guess I would use a different program besides iTunes to get all your music off your iPod the first time. Then I would import all that music into iTunes, and only then allow iTunes and iPod to sync up. using a program like this http://www.ipod2computer.com/ 1/7/2008 4:56:37 PM |

are they in a different directory?
I had some music in something like C:\Music and C:\My Downloads
different programs download to different default directories
just search for *.mp3 files to find them and then go under the file menu in iTunes and add the directory manually 1/7/2008 5:28:50 PM |

since the most relevantly titled thread was idle...
has anyone tried to transfer music from an ipod to a mac thats running the new OSX leopard? I tried the instructions in this thread: http://brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=451034
but i can't figure out how to "show hidden files" in leopard. that option isn't in the "view" menu 2/18/2008 8:49:41 PM |
