i watched about the first half of that last week. Very good stuff. The guy is a great speaker and talks for 70 minutes straight with ease. The first 70 minutes is just a speech/lecture, and the rest is Q&A.
He goes into the Dover trial pretty good, and covers the history of Creationism vs. ID in schools (the graph showing the number of times "creation" and "intelligent design" is mentioned in the current ID text book over its many revisions over the past 20 years is priceless) I also learned several (pretty basic) concepts of evolution that I was either not aware of, or would have had a lot of trouble explaining myself.
If you want a simple, clear, concise, and inarguable way to explain why ID should not be taught in any science classroom based on academic reasons only (having nothing to do with the actual subject material or religion or anything), then jump to minute 65. 1/7/2008 9:56:13 PM |
