I'm currently taking a law class w/ approx 10 students, and the teacher is trying to have it done distance-ed style using a large-scale videoconferencing app.
Right now we're using elluminate (http://www.elluminate.com/ ) which seems like it would work, but audio transmission quality sucks and apparently there's been a bit of a learning curve for both the professor and a couple of the students
We tried using Skype tonight, but although the audio works fine apparently it doesn't do 10 videoconference feeds at once
Any other apps out there that might work? It needs to be cross-platform compatible (about half the class is Mac users) and able to handle at least 5-10 video feeds 1/10/2008 9:16:27 PM |

http://www.gotomeeting.com is by the far the easiest and cheapest. You can sign up for free, then after the trial, say you do not want to renew because of the price, and they will drop the monthly rate on the spot. 1/11/2008 7:45:20 AM |
