I've got a great idea for a website and I know PHP is the best way to go, since I have prior experience with a business that uses PHP (although I wasn't the coder). I'd like to do this site all on my own, and I really have to since I can't pay anybody.

Where do I go to learn this stuff?

Normally I'd think the google-link response was just rude... but since the VERY FIRST search result for "php" turns out to be one of the best places to start...

i wouldn't even recommend a book - you can find tons of sample code and instructional info on the web.

^^book > internet for being a beginner because you have structured lesson plans that are great for starting out. After you have some basic understanding of it all then the internet becomes a great resource because you can search on how to do specific things that you are trying rather then "where the fuck do i start?"
