i'm the first one to hate on GSM, mostly because it sucks (IMO) compared to CDMA...but i do travel out of the country now and then, and since the rest of the world (except who, japan?) insists on using inferior technology, i should probably get in line, at least for those short weeks...anywho, http://1saleaday.com/ has the motorola F3 ultra slim GSM phone for $36 after shipping...for those of you that know phones, and GSM in particular, will this work if i just buy a SIM card over there and pop it in?

as long as its unlocked, the sim card should work fine

the thing to check on though is what bands the phone uses...and it looks like that phone doesn't use the 900MHz band, which is widely used internationally. looks like its missing the 1800MHz band too
