lots of places measure by the pound. a dozen wings doesn't give you any judgement on the size of wings and/or the amount of food you're ordering.

Woody's has the best wings in the Triangle, hands down. The ones in Cary are exceptionally good, but the ones at the Woody's in Moore's Square are great too

although I have discovered making them at home is pretty freaking awesome.

get franks red hot, butter, and maybe garlic or something else for personality and a deep fat fryer and your set for great times... I'm REALLY surprised at how easy it is to make a decent tasting wing sauce and it floors me how so many places can screw it up...
