you gotta feel good for eli though. people have been criticizing the guy his whole career..including me. he's picked it up this postseason and had a damn good game today
here's to an upset win and back to back Manning brothers superbowl victories

5^ Belichick with two week to prepare >>>> anyone else in the game today. Spread will be around 2 TDs and I think they cover with ease. You don't win 18 games just to lose to a wild card team. The weather will favor the Patriots offense and I think you'll see Brady play a near flawless game.

I don't know I think the one with the Falcons in 1999 holds the title of "Lamest Superbowl Ever". Also Super Bowl XXXV was pretty meh with the Ravens crushing the Giants 34-7. Another snoozefest was Super Bowl XXXVII with the Buccaneers vs. the Raiders. The attendance of 67,603 was the third-smallest ever for a Super Bowl game despite being held at Qualcomm Stadium which seats over 71k. 1/21/2008 12:23:34 AM |

Ok well I'll just comment on some of the recent ones that were either interesting or great games. Last year's Super Bowl was good from a matchup stand point b/c everyone was wondering how the Colts O would fair against the Bears D. The Panthers-Patriots was a great game despite the wardrobe malfunction being the most remembered thing from it. Rams vs. Patriots in 2002 was an awesome game, a classic in every sense. The Rams vs. Titans though was probably one of the most dramatic Super Bowls ever though. 1/21/2008 12:46:01 AM |

could be a good game. both teams have big markets. should draw a big crowd.

Really though, does the matchup matter at all to the number of people viewing the superbowl?
People who are football fans enough to care about matchups would probably already be watching the superbowl, no matter who was playing, right? 1/21/2008 1:47:23 AM |
