The point of supercolliders is to cause events that we can't observe in nature in a place where we can tell what the hell is going on. No one knows if it can produce MBH's or if they would dissipate by the entirely theoretical Hawking radiation. Understanding these processes is fundamental to understanding the origins of matter and the universe.
