that's a good point. however, education, lobbying, and running for government positions hasn't seemed to work too much so far outside of cali, alaska, and washington state. i'm sure arnold knows what some doctors are up to, but they don't really seem to mind. it's like they're okay with people smoking, but they just want to make it a bit inconvienent to obtain.

basically, states are left to excercise and regulate control of weed, eventhough it's federally illegal. in california, they recognize the medical use of marijuana, eventhough the federal government does not.

and as chris said, the fact that these vending machines are going into service should evidence the fact that they are legal in california.

I think its funny that if you look at the proponents and opposition to medical marijuana you see some common trentds.

- The number of PhD and M.D. proponents for medical marijuana by far outnumber those in the opposition side.
- Many of the "qualified" health/medical professionals that oppose medical marijuana are employed in federal gov't agencies.
- Administrators of agencies like the DEA are against it of course b.c of the inherent bias as it is what keeps them employed.
- The high profile politicians against medical marijuana are of course your GOP politicians who are showing their Christian supporters that they support Jesus by cracking down on evil drugs.





BTW it would be said if marijuana were legal and our beloved politicians would lose campaign contributions from their favorite pharmaceutical companies
