My friends and I are looking to live somewhere between exits 280 and 285 off of 40 as we will all be working in the RTP vicinity. Living right next to the highway isn't a priority, I just listed the exit numbers as a reference. We're looking to spend around $500 per month. I'm familiar with housing in Raleigh, but not as well in Cary. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I hope it's obvious I meant $500 a person. 2/2/2008 1:25:23 AM |

You shouldn't have any problems finding stuff. Most of the Cary apts. run between 400-500/month per person. Just go to apt. finder or rent.com 2/2/2008 1:35:38 AM |

Thats what I'm doing now, but its slow going. If anyone had any personal experience, it might save me looking through these 100s of results. 2/2/2008 1:37:15 AM |

There are a lot new apartments in the Cary/Morrisville area that makes it convenient to get to RTP via 540/Davis drive. Off of Carpenter Fire Station Rd (which if off 55) there is a new complex called Courtney Reserve, they looked really nice when I toured them, they just didnt have enough closet space for me (storage etc), Vista at the Park off 55 is also new and I have heard good things about them from people I work with. If you want an older complex there are quite a few on 54 near Aviation, The Oaks at Weston, Camden Westwood?(maybe) either way I have heard good things about all of these....
There are usually an abundance of townhome rentals in this area also, I just checked craigslist...
Hope this gets you started 2/2/2008 10:18:14 AM |

There's a new complex on the corner of davis and hopson, like two seconds from RTP. Depending on the number of roommates you could get it down to under 500 a month or so. I'm in a two bedroom and I pay 560 a month (thats only because i took the first two months free, if I hadn't rent would probably be less than 500).

staff is real nice, good amenities, convenient to brier creek and RTP, any other questions let me know. 2/2/2008 11:09:34 AM |

bridges at windriver is pretty decent. there's some others south of 40 near the new part of 540 too that were pretty reasonable.

I second Bexley park. I lived there for 2 years and its was a pretty easy drive down Davis to work. 2/5/2008 8:04:37 AM |
