just got a new hdtv tv, so i flipped the tv hookup thing for the 360 to hdtv & used the hdtv plugs
however, i cant see the play clock during the game now (i can only see the first digit of it, the rest doesnt seem to fit on the tv....though this new tv is nearly twice as wide as my old tv which didnt have this issue), plus the words on the menus (play week, recruiting, etc) appear kind of blurry
am i missing something here? do i need some kind of cord hooked up to it?
i have a hdtv cable box with the cords connecting the box to the tv, but do i also need some kind of hdmi cable or something (i think the cords twc gave me are just component cables)?
thanks for any help you guys can give me, i'm not the most tv-knowlegeable person 2/4/2008 8:56:05 PM |

Go into the console settings and change the video output setting to 720p or 1080p (depending on what resolution your tv supports) 2/4/2008 9:43:00 PM |

Anyone had any problems with the colors changing and/or flickering? The colors have changed on mine and sometimes only display black/white and flickers really bad. I've tried it on a different tv and still does the same thing. Also tried a different cables and had the same result. Also decided to give it a slight tap and it tried to eat my game. 2/26/2008 7:00:15 PM |

This fucking thing has a mind of its own. The two tvs I tried it on in raleigh had fucked up colors and flickering. I come home and try it on 3 different tvs. It's just plain b/w on the magnavox that I used with it last semester. The color is perfect on my cousin's little TV that looks like Lightning from the movie Cars. Tried it on our HD-TV: only shows b/w when using composite but the color is fine when using the component cables. Shit is bananas. *shrugs* 3/4/2008 2:13:08 PM |
