man that is a lot of shoes. If there is one thing that my wardrobe lacks in (who am i kidding, my wardrobe is dated) its shoes. But its not that bad cause i'm a jeans/tshirt/polo guy and i dont wear black.







are my main three. Then i have my grey NB sneakers, black dress shoes, brown dress shoes, rainbows, LLbean duck boots and thats it.

yeah, i am a bit of a boot freak. It's one of few things my older brother and I have in common. and once spring/summer come around i wear nothing but rainbows except at the office so i've never had a need for lots of shoes. And hell, at the office I usually have on boot 2 (job sites)


Yeah that style is called a Harness boot. They are a popular style so you could find them in any price range. The ones i have in particular are Durango

Vibrams are fucking awesome, I have two pairs of them, don't knock it until you try it. As for being a guy and having > 40 pairs, you're one to make a gay quip.

Jeepin4x4, they provide protection for people who enjoy going barefoot. Like I said in an earlier post up there somewhere, I prefer running barefoot than wearing running shoes. It feels better on my feet, and actually helps stimulate and exercise muscles that normally aren't used when wearing shoes. It helps build strength and increase your range of motion.

As for the shoes themselves, when I'm running on a non-grassy/dirt surface, especially on a city sidewalk, I need a little bit of protection between my feet and the ground. So the Vibram Fivefingers give me that protection while still maintaining the effectiveness of running barefoot.

They have Vibram soles on the bottoms, which means they grip well to wet surfaces, which mean they would be great for bouldering, and walking through rivers. They have other models that have a strap on the top to keep them from falling off in fast water.

I like the Vibrams because it has forced me to improve my running, less bounce and more shuffle. I can definitely tell the difference in many of my major and minor muscles from feet to lower back.

- 1 pair REI backpacking boots *w/ vibram soles
- 2 pairs (soon to be 3) Montrail running shoes (Vitesse & Hardrock) *w/ vibram soles
- 1 pair black rubber galoshes
- 2 pair Nine West? dress sandals

My feet are relatively wide for their length, so I needed the straps (I got some extra space in the heel). It's comfortable, only washing them sometimes gets the velcro attached to other articles in the wash.
