will man up soon and drop out of the race since it is clear that Obama has the momentum and support? I mean I know it will never happen due to Billary's blind ambition, but if this thing lingers all the way to the convention than that gives the winner very little time to campaign against McCain who is clearly going to be the Republican nominee.


Oh yeah for the record, I am no longer Republican18, I have pretty much wiped my hands clean of that party. I am now Libertarian18

Obama started out as more of the underdog, but has clearly had a consistent small margin in the primary voting. But if you include the super delegates, it's like 50% to 49%.

I would not quit a race while at 49%.

thats my point, the super delegates dont vote till the convention.....which gives the winner no time to campaign against McCain who will be out all spring and summer campaigning. I think Billary should see where the wind is blowing and drop out.

Eh I could see where this could wind up a Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton ticket, depending on how nasty the campaign gets before the convention. Hillary is so polarizing and Obama is so appealing that I think one might cancel out the other...

Anyway, while Clinton still has a slim chance, and more super-delegates pledged to her right now, the supers can still change before the convention, and almost every state still left is being predicted to go Obama.

And in regards to Clinton's pride/ambition/whatever, CNN mentioned that she hasn't congratulated Obama on his wins today. It's minor and they're just grasping for another election story, but it still illustrates to some degree how much they don't like eachother.

I think she still has pretty decent chances in Texas and Ohio, actually. And they are big states with lots of delegates.

^yep. Although I heard on the radio that texas is being split up by districts and the biggest districts are black. SO she could very well carry the state but get less delegates. LOL

I think that if Obama beats Hillary he won't have any problem with McCain. McCain is a pussycat compared to Hillary.

Hillary won't drop out. She thinks it's her right to be president and she won't back down. She doesn't get that no one outside of the far left will vote for her. Also, while the Clinton years get portrayed as the Big Rock Candy Mountain by their supporters, a lot of people still remember the crooked things that they pulled.

Obama has momentum and charisma.

I could see the Republican base ignoring McCain this election and just not voting while moderates flock to Obama.

If Hillary wins the nomination because of back room dealing though, I could easily see moderates flocking to McCain, as well as a republican base enraged at the prospect of Team Clinton v2.
